The central facility for Industrial Pharmacy lab was established in 2006 to provide hands-on training of commonly used equipments in pharma industry to undergraduate and post graduate students. The penultimate aim was to carry out collaborative work with industry and establish a healthy industry-academia relationship.
The facility has important equipments like High Pressure Homogenizer, Spray Drier, Rapid Mixer Granulator, Fluid Bed Processor, Extruder Spheronizer, Tablet Compression Machine and Tablet Coater to name a few. The equipments were procured in view of pilot scale batches for industrial projects. This facilitates in carrying out research projects received from various companies.
This facility also provides exclusive Pharmaceutical Engineering equipment’s like Bernoulli’s apparatus, Reynolds apparatus, Flow meters etc.
The facility is also made available to other academic institutes for their research activities.
