He was Assistant Professor, Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, Solan from June 29, 2010 to June 30, 2015. Before this he worked as Lecturer in one of the premier Pharmacy institutions, B.N. College of Pharmacy, Udaipur, Rajasthan for five years. He has been nominated as CPCSEA member by Animal Welfare Division, Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Government of India. He has been coordinator for various inspections, e.g. PCI, RUHS.

    - Development of a polyherbal preparation to treat ethanol abstinence syndrome. Funded by Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, startup research grant (Young Scientists), Rs. 22 Lakhs.

    - Effect of Withania somnifera glycowithanolides to treat ethanol abstinence syndrome in rodents. Funded by ICMR, New Delhi under ad-hoc research project, Rs. 21.19 Lakhs.

Awards

  • Awarded Travel Grant from Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India for attending conference “World Congress on Alcohol and Alcoholism” organized jointly by International Society of Biomedical Research on Alcoholism (ISBRA) and the European Society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism (ESBRA) from September 2-5, 2016 at Berlin, Germany. 
  • Received Best Oral Presentation Award in 3rd International conference on "Ethnopharmacology and Evaluation of Medicinal Plants - Global Perspectives". The award was given by Dr. Rudolf Bauer, President of International Society for Ethnopharmacology, UK. The conference was organized by Society for Ethnopharmacology from February 19-21, 2016 at Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. 
  • Awarded Travel Grant from ICMR, Govt. of India for the research work of M.Pharm. student Ankit Sharma and co-authors to Dr. Sarika Wairkar to attend. The 44th Annual Meeting & Exposition of the Controlled Release Society organized by Controlled Release Society, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. July 16-19, 2017.
