Organization of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI) has invited Mr. Ashutosh Ojha, Associate Professor to be on their jury panel for their Annual Awards function in the OPPI Sales Force Excellence Category. The panel for this category comprises Managing Directors and CXO level professionals from the Indian Industry who serve as thought leaders for the Pharma Industry. OPPI represents the research-based multinational pharmaceutical companies in India. Over the years, the OPPI Annual Awards have been recognised as a Gold Standard in the pharmaceutical industry. The OPPI Annual Awards for excellence in research, sales, marketing, medical excellence and healthcare communications recognise the best work from the OPPI member companies. Mr. Ojha has been on their panel over the last three consecutive years as well.
Pravin Shende, Professor, SPPSPTM delivered a talk on ‘Transporters in drug delivery’ in the section of The Biomedical & Life Sciences Collection, Henry Stewart Talks, London, UK. This was an invited talk from Biomedical Editor at Henry Stewart Talks (HST) to present a lecture on transporters in drug delivery in the series on drug delivery systems, Edited by Professor Vladimir P. Torchilin from Northeastern University, USA.Wayne State University School of Medicine enables the talk in The Biomedical & Life Sciences Collection (TBLSC) to be accredited under the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) in the USA. Making talks available under this arrangement has been a particular request of users in the pharmaceutical industry. They believe that availability to this wide range of talks by leading experts in biomedical science will greatly benefit medical practitioners working in industry.

Sanjay Sharma, Associate Professor, nominated as "Bentham Brand Ambassador” for one year (2022-2023). Dr. Sandip Auti, Assistant Professor, SPPSPTM received 'Best Poster Presentation Award’ for the research work titled "Effect of caraway oil in animal model of Alzheimer’s disease at 9th World Ayurveda Congress (WAC) and Arogya Expo organised by World Ayurveda Foundation held at Panjim, Goa, India during 8th to 11th of December 2022.
Sameer Sakpal, Assistant Store Keeper, participated in Tata Mumbai Half Marathon (Distance: 21.097 KM Race) on 15th January 2023 with BIB No.25195. The cut off time for half marathon distance was 03 Hrs: 30 Min. & he has finished this race in 01 HRS: 53 Mins:45 Secs. For this achievement he has been awarded with "Finisher’s Medal”. In this event total 10993 Runners participated in half Marathon from all over the world.Tata Mumbai Marathon was his 28th Half Marathon & so far he ran 35 Marathons in different parts of India including Pune, Satara, Bengaluru & Jaipur
Dhrumi Patel, PhD student of SPPSPTM under the guidance of Dr. Sarika Wairkar, Associate Professor has been selected for India’s Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) Overseas Visiting Doctoral Fellowship Program (OVDF) at Purdue University, USA for 12 months based on her academic records, commitment to a sustainable institutional partnership and collaborative research proposal jointly submitted by faculty of Purdue and NMIMS.
A Total of 25 PhD fellows have been selected from 200 applications from all over India from different PhD programs in Science, Technology, and Engineering. This fellowship provides meaningful international research experiences for PhD students enrolled in top Indian institutions and also fosters institutional collaborations between research groups of Purdue and institutions in India.
It is a completely sponsored fellowship by SERB covering Travel charges, monthly fellowship amount equivalent to US $ 2000 to cover living costs and expenses and one time preparatory allowances of Rs. 60,000/- to research fellow. At the same time, she will remain enrolled in the PhD program at NMIMS. One visit, each by the Indian supervisor to the Purdue university where the student is working and Purdue faculty to the host Indian Institution of the student up to one month is also admissible under this Scheme.
Ms. Siddhi Bagwe Parab, Research Scholar mentored by Dr. Ginpreet Kaur, Associate Professor won the "Dr. Arun Sanghani Award” (First Prize) in Pre-Clinical Oral Presentation” and "All-Rounder Women Presenter Award” at the 13th Annual Conference of South Asian College of Clinical Pharmacology (SAC-ACCP) held between 6th to 8th January 2023 at Ahmedabad, Gujrat. The presented paper was entitled "Emoxypine succinate rescues memory impairment in rats with brain iron overload: A potential iron-chelation strategy for the treatment of Alzheimer's Disease”. This research study was the outcome of the core research grant provided by DST SERB, Govt. of India.
Moneta - India’s largest financial market-based event, hosted by R.A Poddar College of Commerce & Economics was conducted during 19th -21st January, 2023.
They hosted an array of enriching events from informative seminars to interactive workshops as well as competitions for participants to showcase their financial knowledge.
TEC sent a contingent of 20 participants that participated in 13 events. Facing competition from all over the country, it was commendable that our contingent managed to qualify
the first round in 6 out of the 13 events they took part in. It was an especially joyous moment when our participant, Riya Parekh from 2nd year B pharm + MBA stood 3rd in Legit – a moot court based event.
This was an incredible opportunity for our participants to explore their management skills, trading skills as well as marketing and branding prowess through the various competitions that involved business strategizing, policy making and case study solving. This competition helped many students gain a deeper understanding of the MBA aspect of their degree and got them looking forward to learning that in the years to come. All students are hoping for more such opportunities at such a big scale.
SCHOTT FIOLAX Scholarship Program was launched in the year 2014 with a thought of promoting and encouraging bright minds in pharmaceutical Industry.
This scholarship is one of the prestigious award for the pharmacy students.
Applications were invited from 3rd year B.Pharm and 2nd
year M.Pharm students, who had scored not less than 70% in their previous academic year. Students were supposed to submit an essay on "Pharmaceutical
World Post Pandemic”. After screening of the essay, selected few were called for a personal interview and thereafter the scholarship was declared.Three

Dr. Surendra Agrawal, Associate Professor, SPPSPTM has received a Capacity-building industrial training (PCI-CBIT) grant from the Pharmacy Council of India. Dr. Surendra will be undergoing one-month training at Sun Pharma Ltd, Dadra, and Nagar Haveli Plant. Pharmacy Council of India has selected 100 faculty across the country in 2021 for the mentioned grant.

The paper is recognized at Emerald Literati Awards 2021.
Saritha Shetty (Associate Professor), received Best Poster presentation Second Position in the poster presentation titled "Pullulan based electrospun nanofibers of Voriconazole: Promising preliminary studies for oral candidiasis” at the International Conference on Emerging Trends in Drug Discovery and Development (ICETD3-2022) organised by Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi on January 20-21, 2022. This poster was prepared by Dr. Khushwant Yadav (Associate Professor), Dr. Saritha Shetty (Associate Professor) and Ms. Ritu Jain (student of M.Pharm+MBA-2nd year).
