Dr. Kapil Juvale, Assocaite Professor, received "Best Oral Presentation Award” at the ‘46th Annual IABMS conference, Recent Advances in Drug Discovery and Development-2025 (RADDD-2025)' organised by Indian Association of Biomedical Scientists on October 7 -9, 2025 at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, India. Award was received for the research work presented on "Discovery of benzopyrazole based novel anticancer agents targeting altered metabolism in solid cancers".
Dr. Ranjana Bhandari, Assistant Professor got 1st position in the NAPTEL EXAM by IIT-Madras - "Patent Drafting for beginners" and topped the exam with 1st Rank. The course was held from 1st July-1st August, 2025.

Additionally, Mr. Keith D’Souza, alumnus of the B.Pharm programme, received the APTI Certificate of Excellence for securing Rank 1 in GPAT/NIPER 2025, reflecting the institution’s strong academic foundation and mentoring culture.

Ms. Nidhi Khedpande, PhD scholar SPPSPTM, SVKM’s NMIMS presented her research on drug-resistant epilepsy at the prestigious Pharmacology 2025 conference held by the British Pharmacological Society (BPS) at ICC Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, from 16–18 December 2025. Her participation was supported through a competitive travel bursary awarded by the British Pharmacological Society and a travel grant from the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), India, reflecting strong recognition of the quality and potential impact of her research.

Dr. Sandip Auti, Assistant Professor, SPPSPTM, SVKM’s NMIMS, Mumbai received an Elite + Gold certification, securing a position among the Top 2% learners with a score of 94% in the examination for the course ‘Herbal Product Technology and Regulatory Science’ offered by NPTEL, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, in association with the Skill India initiative.
Dr. Mital N. Patel, Assistant Professor, SPPSPTM, SVKM’s NMIMS was honoured with the prestigious Dr. P. D. Patil National Thesis Award for her outstanding research contribution, along with M.Pharm (Quality Assurance) student Ms. Nidhi Vadnere. The thesis was selected from over submissions received from leading pharmaceutical institutions across India, including NIPER Mohali, NIPER Hyderabad and JSS College of Pharmacy. The award was presented by Mr. Girish Hukare, Joint Commissioner, FDA Pune, in recognition of the quality, innovation, and national-level impact of their research work. The achievement included a total of Certificates of Merit, a cash prize of ?14,000 and a memento for both the mentor and student. This distinguished recognition highlights the institution's commitment to academic excellence, research innovation, and scholarly achievement.

Sakshi Sharma, a student of 2^nd-year M.Pharm (Pharmacology)+ MBA, under the guidance of Dr. Kalyani Barve, Associate Professor, SPPSPTM, SVKM’s NMIMS won the Best Poster Presentation Award at the International Conference on "Drug Discovery, Delivery and Diagnostics (ICD-2024)" held in NIPER Hyderabad on 9-10 August 2024. The topic presented was "Network pharmacology: An emerging strategy to reveal the pharmacological mechanism of Ayurvedic herbs in the treatment of Cardiovascular disorders.

Jayesh D. Kadam, Ph.D. Scholar under mentorship of Dr. Yogesh Kulkarni has won third prize in oral category for his presentation titled "Evaluation of anticancer activity of Genistein and Daidzein nanoparticles using MCF-7 cell line study and NMU induced breast cancer in female Wistar rats" at International conference LASACON 2024. The conference was organized by Laboratory Animal Scientists' Association (LASA) and ACTREC at CIDCO Convention Centre, Vashi, Navi Mumbai from 29th to 30th November 2024.

Sandip Auti, Assistant Professor received ‘Young Faculty Basic (Neuropharmacology) Award’ for oral presentation titled "Neuroprotective effect of 1,8 Cineole in Amyloid beta induced Alzheimer’s disease in Wistar Rats” at 54^th Annual Conference of Indian Pharmacological Society (IPC- IPSCON-2024)” held at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi between November 28 – 30, 2024.

Sandip Auti, Assistant Professor received ‘Best Paper Award’ for oral presentation titled "Neuroprotective effect of Escin, a triterpenoid saponin from Aesculus indica in aluminium chloride induced Alzheimer’s disease” at "10th World Ayurveda Congress (WAC) and Arogya Expo” organised by World Ayurveda Foundation held at Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India during December 12 – 15, 2024.

Vaishali Londhe, Professor, has received the ‘Best Poster Presentation Award’ for her presentation titled "Hesperidin Loaded Dissolving Microneedles for the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis” at CR Singapore 2025 organized by Controlled Release Society (CRS) held at National University Health System, Singapore on February 19 – 20, 2025 with cash prize of 100 SGD.

Koteswara Rao G., Professor, was awarded FIRST PRIZE under Pharmaceutics division of oral presentations for his research presentation "Formulation and Evaluation of Tapentadol Nanoparticle-Loaded Microneedles”, at ANRF & DBT sponsored Pharmanecia 4.E – International Research Conference organized by JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty held on 7^th & 8^th March 2025.

Mahesh Palkar, Professor, was awarded FIRST PRIZEunder Pharmaceutical Chemistry division of oral presentations for his research presentation "Discovery of novel carbohydrazide hybrids of Isatin –Bromopyrrole frameworks as potential mycobacterial DNA gyrase inhibitors: An In-vitro and In-silico Evaluation”, at ANRF & DBT sponsored Pharmanecia 4.E – International Research Conference organized by JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty held on 7^th & 8^th March 2025.

Organization of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI) has invited Mr. Ashutosh Ojha, Associate Professor to be on their jury panel for their Annual Awards function in the OPPI Sales Force Excellence Category. The panel for this category comprises Managing Directors and CXO level professionals from the Indian Industry who serve as thought leaders for the Pharma Industry. OPPI represents the research-based multinational pharmaceutical companies in India. Over the years, the OPPI Annual Awards have been recognised as a Gold Standard in the pharmaceutical industry. The OPPI Annual Awards for excellence in research, sales, marketing, medical excellence and healthcare communications recognise the best work from the OPPI member companies. Mr. Ojha has been on their panel over the last three consecutive years as well.
Pravin Shende, Professor, SPPSPTM delivered a talk on Transporters in drug delivery in the section of The Biomedical & Life Sciences Collection, Henry Stewart Talks, London, UK. The talk has been released and is available online on website (https://hstalks.com/bs/5030/). This was an invited talk from Biomedical Editor at Henry Stewart Talks (HST) to present a lecture on transporters in drug delivery in the series on drug delivery systems, Edited by Professor Vladimir P. Torchilin from Northeastern University, USA.Wayne State University School of Medicine enables the talk in The Biomedical & Life Sciences Collection (TBLSC) to be accredited under the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) in the USA. Making talks available under this arrangement has been a particular request of users in the pharmaceutical industry. They believe that availability to this wide range of talks by leading experts in biomedical science will greatly benefit medical practitioners working in industry.
Kavita Singh, Assistant Professor, Invited as subject Expert at John Hopkin's University for hands-on training to research team in collaboration with Yuvan research, USA. The trip was fully sponsored by the Yuvan Research, USA.
Sanjay Sharma, Associate Professor, nominated as "Bentham Brand Ambassador for one year (2022-2023). Bentham Science currently publishes more than 100 journals in both electronic and printed formats. The journals are indexed in recognized indexing agencies, such as Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition, MEDLINE/Index Medicus, PubMed, Scopus, Chemical Abstracts, and EMBASE.

Sameer Sakpal, Assistant Store Keeper, participated in Tata Mumbai Half Marathon (Distance: 21.097 KM Race) on 15^th January 2023 with BIB No.25195. The cut off time for half marathon distance was 03 Hrs: 30 Min. & he has finished this race in 01 HRS: 53 Mins:45 Secs. For this achievement he has been awarded with "Finishers Medal In this event total 10993 Runners participated in half Marathon from all over the world.Tata Mumbai Marathon was his 28^th Half Marathon & so far he ran 35 Marathons in different parts of India including Pune, Satara, Bengaluru & Jaipur

Dhrumi Patel, PhD student of SPPSPTM under the guidance of Dr. Sarika Wairkar, Associate Professor has been selected for India Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) Overseas Visiting Doctoral Fellowship Program (OVDF) at Purdue University, USA for 12 months based on her academic records, commitment to a sustainable institutional partnership and collaborative research proposal jointly submitted by faculty of Purdue and NMIMS.
A Total of 25 PhD fellows have been selected from 200 applications from all over India from different PhD programs in Science, Technology, and Engineering. This fellowship provides meaningful international research experiences for PhD students enrolled in top Indian institutions and also fosters institutional collaborations between research groups of Purdue and institutions in India.
It is a completely sponsored fellowship by SERB covering Travel charges, monthly fellowship amount equivalent to US $ 2000 to cover living costs and expenses and one time preparatory allowances of Rs. 60,000/- to research fellow. At the same time, she will remain enrolled in the PhD program at NMIMS. One visit, each by the Indian supervisor to the Purdue university where the student is working and Purdue faculty to the host Indian Institution of the student up to one month is also admissible under this Scheme.

Ms. Siddhi Bagwe Parab, Research Scholar mentored by Dr. Ginpreet Kaur, Associate Professor won the "Dr. Arun Sanghani Award (First Prize) in Pre-Clinical Oral Presentation and "All-Rounder Women Presenter Award at the 13th Annual Conference of South Asian College of Clinical Pharmacology (SAC-ACCP) held between 6th to 8th January 2023 at Ahmedabad, Gujrat. The presented paper was entitled "Emoxypine succinate rescues memory impairment in rats with brain iron overload: A potential iron-chelation strategy for the treatment of Alzheimer's Disease. This research study was the outcome of the core research grant provided by DST SERB, Govt. of India.

Moneta - India's largest financial market-based event, hosted by R.A Poddar College of Commerce & Economics was conducted during 19^th -21^st January, 2023. They hosted an array of enriching events from informative seminars to interactive workshops as well as competitions for participants to showcase their financial knowledge. TEC sent a contingent of 20 participants that participated in 13 events. Facing competition from all over the country, it was commendable that our contingent managed to qualify the first round in 6 out of the 13 events they took part in. It was an especially joyous moment when our participant, Riya Parekh from 2^nd year B pharm + MBA stood 3^rd in Legit a moot court based event.
This was an incredible opportunity for our participants to explore their management skills, trading skills as well as marketing and branding prowess through the various competitions that involved business strategizing, policy making and case study solving. This competition helped many students gain a deeper understanding of the MBA aspect of their degree and got them looking forward to learning that in the years to come. All students are hoping for more such opportunities at such a big scale.

SCHOTT FIOLAX Scholarship Program was launched in the year 2014 with a thought of promoting and encouraging bright minds in pharmaceutical Industry. This scholarship is one of the prestigious award for the pharmacy students.
Applications were invited from 3^rd year B.Pharm and 2^nd year M.Pharm students, who had scored not less than 70% in their previous academic year. Students were supposed to submit an essay on "Pharmaceutical World Post Pandemic After screening of the essay, selected few were called for a personal interview and thereafter the scholarship was declared.Three of our students have been selected for the SCHOTT FIOLAX SCHOLARSHIP award for year 2022.

Dr. Kavita Singh, Assistant Professor received first prize for an Oral presentation at Disso Research Presentations India (DRPI)-2021 organised by Society for Pharmaceutical Dissolution Science (SPDS) in collaboration with American Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AAPS) and Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) on July 16, 2021.
Dr. Priyanka Prabhu, Assistant Professor successfully completed an online course on "Drug Development by University of California, San Diego through Coursera platform.
Dr. Surendra Agrawal, Associate Professor got Appreciation Award by Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) Mumbai Branch on August 15, 2021. The APTI Mumbai Branch honoured for the commitment and involvement in the development of APTI Mumbai Branch Activities
Dr Sonali S Bharate, Associate Professor, SPPSPTM has been conferred with the CSIR Technology Award 2021 for her innovative research on Saffron on CSIR Foundation Day in gracious presence of Vice President of India, Minster of State for the Ministry of Science of Technology and Principal Scientific Advisor to Government of India and Director General, CSIR.
Dr. Surendra Agrawal, Associate Professor, SPPSPTM has received a Capacity-building industrial training (PCI-CBIT) grant from the Pharmacy Council of India. Dr. Surendra will be undergoing one-month training at Sun Pharma Ltd, Dadra, and Nagar Haveli Plant. Pharmacy Council of India has selected 100 faculty across the country in 2021 for the mentioned grant.

Dr. Pravin Shende, Professor and Dr. Yogesh Kulkarni, Associate Professor & Associate Dean have been featured in the list of "Top 2% scientists in the World. Stanford University, together with Elsevier has been creating a list of 2% of the best scientists in the world. The third version of the list has been published in October 2021, which is based on the Aug 01, 2021 snapshot from Scopus.
Bala Prabhakar, Dean, SPPSPTM, Dr. Pravin Shende, Professor, SPPSPTM, Dr. Pankaj Mandpe, Ph.D Scholar, SPPSPTM and Ms. Hunny Gupta and received Emerald Literati Outstanding Paper Award 2021 from Sensor Review Development Journal (Scopus Cite Score 2.6, IF1.5 by Clarivate Analytics) for the review article "Glucose oxidase-based biosensor for glucose detection from biological fluids. The paper is recognized at Emerald Literati Awards 2021.
Saritha Shetty (Associate Professor), received Best Poster presentation Second Position in the poster presentation titled "Pullulan based electrospun nanofibers of Voriconazole: Promising preliminary studies for oral candidiasis at the International Conference on Emerging Trends in Drug Discovery and Development (ICETD3-2022) organised by Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi on January 20-21, 2022. This poster was prepared by Dr. Khushwant Yadav (Associate Professor), Dr. Saritha Shetty (Associate Professor) and Ms. Ritu Jain (student of M.Pharm+MBA-2^nd year).

Dr. Mital Patel, Assistant Professor, SPPSPTM has been awarded First prize in the event "Innovative Idea Challenge in 1st STUDENT RESEARCH CONGRESS. The theme of the Congress was "Innovations for Better Health which was, organized by SVKM's Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy and Co-hosted by University of Mumbai, held on September 28-30, 2020 (Online Events).
Dr. Bappaditya Chatterjee, Assistant Professor, SPPSPTM awarded "Best Performer Award in AICTE-ATAL FDP. The award was presented by the MRS Punjab Technical University for the best performer in AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy Online FDP on "Drug Engineering".
