During the tenure of 21 years, Dr. Mahesh Palkar, served mainly in K.L.E. Society’s Pharmacy Institutions at different capacities like Principal, Professor and Head during which major administrative responsibilities like NBA, NIRF, NAAC & PCI were successfully accomplished in addition to his routine academic & research portfolios. Till date, he has successfully guided 17 M.Pharm projects and co-guided 3 Ph.D candidates. He has successfully completed Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship (PDF) at the College of Health Sciences, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban (South Africa). He has published more than 50 research articles in peer-reviewed national/ international journals with a cumulative impact factor of more than 140 and his Scopus author h index is 19. Further he has published 2 Indian patents. He has received research grants of worth Rs.30 lakhs from various funding agencies. He has worked as Organizing Secretary in organizing various state level conferences/workshops.

  • Recognized as Co-chairperson and Poster Evaluator for a scientific session at SERB, DST, Govt. of India sponsored national conference on "Nanomedicine and Artificial Intelligence: Past, Present and Future” held at SVKM’s NMIMS, School of Pharmacy & Technology Management, Shirpur, Maharashtra, on 23rd and 24th July 2022.
  • Worked as Organizing Secretary in organizing 60th National Pharmacy Week-2021 in association with Karnataka State Pharmacy Council (KSPC), Bengaluru, from 22nd to 26th November 2021.
  • Worked as Organizing Secretary in State Level Workshop entitled "Recent Trends in Cosmetology” conducted at Jagadaguru Tontadarya Science College, Gadag on 15th February 2020.
  • Received the annual prestigious ‘Best Teacher Award’ on eve of Teachers Day-2015 from K.L.E. Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER), Belagavi, on 5th September 2015.
  • Co-chaired a scientific session (Poster) at the 1st Annual Convention of Karnataka State APTI (KAAPTICON-2015) held at BLDEA’s College of Pharmacy, Vijaypur-586103, Karnataka, on 28th and 29th March 2015.
