Dr. Ravi Chandra Sekhara Reddy Danduga has completed Under Graduation (B. Pharmacy) from Acharya Nagarjuna University and Post Graduation (M.Pharmacy) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. He is an academic professional with 11 years of UG- B.Pharmacy and 8 years of PG- M.Pharmacy, (Pharmacology) teaching experience at Acharya Nagarjuna University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Department of Pharmacology, in the subjects like Anatomy and Physiology, Advanced Pharmacology, Pharmacological and Toxicological Screening Methods, Drug Discovery, Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance. In his research, he focused on identifying novel molecules for the therapeutic application of neurological complications like Cerebral Stroke, Epilepsy, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Neurotoxicity, and their associated behavioral alterations in various animal models.
Interest areas:
- Targeting neurological disorders like Cerebral Stroke, Epilepsy, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Neurotoxicity and their associated behavioral alterations in various animal models.
- Extensive experience in separating tissue samples like the brain (hippocampus, cortex, and striatum), liver, pancreas, and thoracic aorta for various experimental purposes and also having expertise in handling and inducing mice with Dalton’s lymphoma ascites (DLA) cell lines.
- Experience in isolation, mounting rat hearts to the Langendorff apparatus and in vascular contractility studies.
- Expertise in the cannulation of the carotid artery in rats and rabbits for measuring blood pressure by using Biopac. Further, He is also working on the MCAO model. He is specialized in animal studies and he strive to conduct experiments to test therapeutic concepts in an attempt to correct the characteristics of neurological diseases.

- Presented a paper on "A Prognostic Study on the Effect of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder on Cerebral Ischemia Reperfusion-Induced Stroke” and won the best presentation award at the Virtual International Conference on Novel and Alternative Therapeutics for Neurodegenerative Diseases Mediated Through Unfolded Protein Response (UPR) organized by School of Life Sciences, B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai, India, sponsored by International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) in association with Tamil Nadu State Council for Science & Technology (TNSCST) was held from 20th September to 23rd September
- Presented a paper on "Cardioprotective effect of Terminalia paniculata against ischemic reperfusion injury” at the international conference on Advances in plant and microbe research (ICAPMR 2016), organized by the Department of Botany and Microbiology, Acharya Nagarjuna University, during 6th – 8th January 2016. (Elected as Best Poster).
