Summary on the lecture: Dr Girinathhas presented role of ADME, Cyt P 450 and toxicity study in drug development and discovery. He has mentioned and discussed on some case studies where software based candidate selection was performed based on those factors. He has also mentioned two drug products approved by the US FDA where software based system was used for the development. Dr Pillai demonstrated how different material properties such as thermal energy, crystal properties, spatial configuration etc. could be used as inputs in software and candidate selection would be augmented. His presentation has given an idea on the computation development and its application in drug discovery as well as product development.
