Dr. Yusuf Kachwala, and Mrs. Amisha Vora faculty members of SPPSPTM attended 62nd International congress and Annual meeting of the Society of Medicinal plants and Natural Product Research GA 2014, held at the University of Minho, Guimaraes, Portugal from 31st August to 4th Septemeber,2014.
Dr. Yusuf Kachwala made a poster presentation on ‘Investigation of Sida spinosa for antidiabetic potential in experimental induced diabetes in animals’ and Mrs. Amisha Vora made an oral presentation on ‘Herbosomes enhances invivo antioxidant activity of Punica granatum extracts’ at the conference.
Over 1000 Scientists from academia and industry dealing with natural products, medicinal plants and phytotherapy, attended this congress. It was a forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest research in the fields of phytochemistry, analytics, pharmacology and clinical applications. Plenary lectures were delivered by leading scientists in the area and several workshops were arranged at the conference.
