RX THE INTERCOLLEGIATE PHARMA EVENT

The Indian Pharmaceutical Association- Students Forum-Maharashtra State Branch(IPA-SF-MSB) had its technical and cultural fests "Techfest-Infra” and "Rx-Renaissance” from 13th -18th January 2014.

Techfest is the technical festival which gives an impetus to the pharmacy students to explore and showcase their technical side in terms of seminars, poster and paper presentation and Pharma quizzes. Techfest-Infra 2K14 was held on the 13th,14th,15th of January in Sterling Institute of Pharmacy, Seawoods Darave and Bombay College Of Pharmacy, Kalina.

The Rx festival is the oldest large scale annual festival for the pharmacy student community and has increased in magnitude over the last ten years since its inception. More than 4000 students from all over Pharmacy Colleges of Mumbai participate every year in Rx. This year the Rx festival was held on 16th,17th, 18th January 2014 on the grounds of Bombay College of Pharmacy, Kalina.

SVKM’s NMIMS’s Shobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School of Pharmacy and Technology Management although being in its first year and competing along with 20 other pharmacy colleges at the Techfest and Rx turned out to be a "Secret Package” by bagging awards at various events in both the festivals.

TECHFEST INFRA 2K14

Ms. Janhavi Jeevan Sadekar, Ms. Kajol Jayesh Shah, and Ms. Rebecca Mathai from B.Pharm + MBA (PharmTech)-III bagged Third Prize for poster presentation held on 14th January 2014.They presented poster entitled, "HEART AT THE BRINK, TIME TO RETHINK!!!” in ‘Pharmacology’ category. Students were mentored by Dr. Mukesh Nandave, Associate Professor in Pharmacology, SPP SPTM, Mumbai.
Ms.Ishita Roy, Ms.Nithya Shankar and Ms.Jigisha Savla from B.Pharm+MBA (PharmTech)-Ibagged Second Prize for paper presentation held on 15th January 2014. They presented in the category Industrial Pharmacy.

RX RENAISSANCE 2014

Ms. Ruchita Rathod and Ms. Ria Bedi from B.Pharm-I year bagged Second prize for mehendi competition held on 17th January 2014.
Ms.Ishita Roy, Ms.Nithya Shankar and Ms.Jigisha Savla from B.Pharm+MBA (PharmTech)-Ibagged Second Prize for paper presentation held on 15th January 2014. They presented in the category Industrial Pharmacy.
Ms. Nupur Jain and Ms. Rujuta Jobanputra from B.Pharm+MBA (PharmTech)-IV bagged first prize for Style your nails competition held on 17th January 2014.
Mr. Viral Bakhai from B.Pharm –II and Ms.Gloria Patel from B.Pharm –I bagged second prize for Video Journalism competition held from 16th-18th January 2014.
Ms Akhila Sharma from M.Pharm+ MBA(PharmTech)-II bagged first prize for Indian Solo Dance competition held on 17th January 2014.
Mr. Akash Siddhanti from M.Pharm-II bagged first prize for Instrumental competition held on 18th Janaury 2014.
Mr.Vaibhav Nahata and Raashi Arunachalam from B.Pharm+MBA (PharmTech)-I bagged third prizefor Antakshari held on 18th January 2014.
Ms. Rosa Quadros and Mr. Gurshawn Singh from B.Pharm+MBA(PharmTech)-II bagged first and thirdprize respectively in the Personality Contest held on 17th January 2014.
Ms.Neela Tandon from B.Pharm+MBA(PharmTech)-II and Mr.Abhijeet Omray from B.Pharm+MBA(Pharma Tech)-I bagged first prize in Duet Dancing competition held on17th January 2014.

Due to the joint efforts of the current Extra curricular faculty incharges , IPA cell members and active participation from the students NMIMS’s SPPSPTM has made its place at the 9TH position on the IPA-SF-MSB score board in its very first year of participation.
