Career Playbook: Skills That Will Make You Corporate-Ready - 2025
A guest session titled "Career Playbook: Skills That Will Make You Corporate-Ready” was organised by the Placement Committee, SPPSPTM, on Saturday, 4th October 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in online mode via MS Teams. The session was conducted by Mr. R. Sairam, Country Brand Lead (Marketing Head), Pfizer India, who drew on his journey from Medical Representative to Country Brand Lead to stress continuous learning, emotional intelligence and value-driven leadership, guided by the principle "Be curious, be open, be sincere”.
The programme introduced the CARE framework for corporate readiness (Core Knowledge, Adaptability, Result Orientation, and Exposure & Influence) and the essential skills of communication, digital and analytical fluency, teamwork and agility, and flexibility.
The discussion covered an outcome-driven culture with regular KPI tracking and data storytelling, the "Zoom in | Zoom out” approach of balancing operational detail with strategic vision, personal branding through LinkedIn and proactive networking, and the value of field experience even at managerial levels.
Key takeaways for students were lifelong learning, creating value through consistent high-impact contributions, owning tasks, building visibility and staying solution-oriented.
The session left participants with practical frameworks to elevate their professional journey with purpose and impact.
