The seminar titled " Leveraging Analytics and Lifecycle Management for Strategic Product Management” took place on 4th October 2024. We were honoured to have, Mr. Amitabha Gangopadhyay, founder and CEO of Green Bark Consulting, as one of the distinguished speakers from Industry.

Ms. Arjvee opened the session, bringing prestige to the event with the esteemed guest speaker's presence. The session was insightful, shedding light on how analytics can play a key role in the industry and the various analytical tools which when used right, can give a boost to the business.

The session focussed on how strategy and analysis in the form of Direction, Differentiation and Choice matters with the major marketing concept of Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning (STP). Analysis helps in three major ways – 1. To map the path to know which way to go – 2. To figure out what are the choices – 3. To know what meaningful way to be different.

Strategic analysis tools like Cost per click, SWOT, click through Rate, Bounce rate, and many more are used by companies without understanding why it is being done / in what ways can that be exactly used to pave the way for company’s growth therefore the complete understanding of the basics of the tools and the right metrics selection is essential.

The speaker then sheds light on customer experience and though it is well known, it is yet to be well practised. In today’s constant evolving changes, to achieve business excellence, customer experience excellence becomes a must.

Lastly the speaker talks about choosing the right strategy through brand’s cycle. One needs to think which way is going to work for their brand, whether it’s’ One Strategy All Along The Life Cycle?  or One Segment All Along the Life Cycle?  or Multi Segments Throughout The Life Cycle?  or Similar Tactics Throughout the Life Cycle.

Analytics helps in running the business and the strategist with the help of analysis can help taking the business ahead.

The floor was next opened to questions, and the session became interactively enriching with active participation from students.

Ms. Arjvee expressed sincere appreciation through the vote of thanks. The third episode of the Leadership Companion Series was a resounding success, drawing over 180 participants.
