THE ANNUAL SPORTS DAY-EXCALIBUR 2019

Team Excalibur organized the Annual sports day on 15th of January,2019. A place where students and teachers united as sports enthusiast. Students from all batches came together and battled for the Best Class Trophy. Dean, Dr Bala Prabhakar graced the occasion with her presence and spoke words of encouragement, followed by initiating the Inauguration ceremony. We were stoked to have faculty members with us. A Faculty Cricket match was organized. It helped the faculty loosen up from their stressful routines

This year we were proud to host our Alumni and we began the day with Alumni football match. The best footballers in the history of SPTM tackled our current players in a remarkable match. Alumni had also come to witness the match, which was also won by the alumni. Football finals followed shortly after, where 1st year MBA bagged the title by beating our second place winners from 2nd and 3rd year MBA. Man of the Tournament was awarded to Angad Parmar, who successfully scored the highest number of goals. Next up was an intense throwball match between 5th MBA and 4th B pharm where 5th MBA girls bagged the 1st place. 3rd MBA successfully managed to score 3rd place in yet another entertaining battle. Simultaneously, Box Cricket and Shot put began. The ground was alive with flamboyant participants and their equally enthusiastic classmates in supporting their class. 1st and 2nd places in shot put boys were scored by 2nd year MBA and 3rd place went to 1st year MBA. Despite of the heat, our ardor was untouched. This is when we began with dodge ball which was won by 5th year MBA. Towards the end, few of the most intense events took place who brought everyone at the edge of their seats. It started with heats where participants could display their swift pace. Last but not least was tug of war boys and girls where the competition got super intense and the cheering was the loudest. 1st place was bagged by our 3rd consecutive year champions, 3rd year MBA. To conclude, those students who outshone were awarded during the Felicitation ceremony. Students received their certificates and medals by Dean, Dr Bala Prabhakar, Dr Yogesh Kulkarni, Dr Clara Fernandes and Dr Vivek Nalawade. Each member dedicated and working together like a family, we were glad to put together an event which was enjoyed by students and teachers. We as a team were glad to add some cheer into busy lives. This would not have been possible without the constant advice and guidance of Dr. Clara Fernandes and Dr. Divya Suares. They helped us every step of the way to put together a succesful event.

Utkarsh Desai, 5th year MBA was declared the Best Sports person Male. Aditi Oak, 5th year MBA was declared the Best Sports person Female. Finally, the infamous Best Class Trophy was bagged by 4th Year B.Pharm.
