SPPSPTM SVKM’S NMIMS, in conjunction with Robin Hood Army, organized a Food Donation Drive, wherein the organizers were successful in distributing 1200 food boxes to underprivileged people in clusters spanning from Santacruz to Bhayander in Mumbai on 14 August, 2016. This made ‘Independence Day’ a special day for the underprivileged and the students. Team Kshamta also conducted a singing competition on the theme ‘Yaad Karo Qurbani’, wherein 25 student contestants participated. To commemorate the delightful occasion of Independence a video showcasing brief biography of the freedom fighters was displayed from 9-23 August, 2016. The video highlighted the sacrifice and major contributions of Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel, Bhagatsingh, Rajguru, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Rani Laxmi Bai, Chandra Shekhar Azad etc. Below are the few glimpses of the Food Donation Drive 2016:
