PARICHAY - 2026

Parichay-2026 commenced with a lighting of ceremonial lamp by Dean Dr. Jagannath Sahoo and faculty in charge of Extra-curricular committee Dr. Amisha Vora along with student coordinators of the event from Second Year B Pharm.

This was followed by welcome address by Dean. The address introduced the incoming students to the academic environment, opportunities, expectations and values of the institute. The students were encouraged to make the most of their college experience through academics, extra-curricular activities, personal development and responsible collaborations.

This was followed by an important segment of the event, Anti-ragging awareness. The session, conducted by Dr. Sateesh Belemkar and Dr. Sanjay Sharma informed incoming students about anti-ragging committee and explained that any such complaints be directed to the committee to ensure safe and healthy learning environment for students.

To make the event more engaging, interactive games and activities were played. The activities created light-hearted atmosphere and encouraged interactions between juniors, seniors, faculty members and staff.

This was followed by cultural performances by students which included classical and Bollywood dance, music, followed by band performance. It allowed the incoming students to showcase their talent and skills, creativity and coordination.

Refreshments were arranged for all participants in form of food boxes which were distributed at the end of the event.

Second year students: Second year students were involved in conceptualization, planning rehearsals, coordination and execution of the event which served as a practical learning experience in event management and provided opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, communication, time management, problem solving, delegation, stage management and crowd management.

First year students: The event allowed first year students to become more familiar with SPPSPTM environment and culture, interact with seniors and peers, understand institutional expectations and anti-ragging policies.
