SVKM’S NMIMS Yuva Hashtag in association with Kshamta (Social Responsibility Forum) and Excalibur (Sports Committee) of SPPSPTM SVKM'S NMIMS conducted a 5.7 km marathon on 8th January 2017, to spread awareness about AIDS and the issue of food wastage.
The marathon began from JRM ground, Vile Parle (w) and proceeded to the junction of Vile Parle East West highway bridge, Cooper Hospital, Sujoy Hospital, Criticare and raced back to JRM ground.
Red ribbon awareness marathon witnessed a healthy participation from 1000 people including faculty, staff and students. Mr. Brijesh Yadav bagged the first prize by completing the run in 18.13 minutes in the male category and Ms. Radhika Chamaria in the female category completed the run in 29.88 minutes. The participants were surprized with goodies like vouchers, coupons, key chains and red ribbons, symbolizing awareness for AIDS.
